The DuraVent DuraTech Roof Flashing, part number 5DT-F12, is the adjustable aluminum roof flashing for the DuraTech 5-inch Class A double-wall all-fuel chimney system, covering roof pitches from 7/12 to 12/12.

The roof flashing is the component that weatherproofs the penetration of the DuraTech chimney pipe through the roof deck, creating a weather-tight seal at the point where the chimney pipe exits the building through the roof surface. The 5DT-F12 is selected for installations where the roof pitch at the chimney penetration falls within the 7/12 to 12/12 range — steeper pitches than those covered by the lower-range 5DT-F6 flashing. A 7/12 pitch rises 7 inches vertically for every 12 horizontal inches, and a 12/12 pitch rises an equal 12 inches vertically for every 12 horizontal inches — a 45-degree slope.

The 5DT-F12 is constructed of aluminum, which is the standard DuraVent flashing material for DuraTech 5-inch through 8-inch diameter roof flashings and provides weather resistance appropriate for an exterior roof-mounted component exposed to the outdoor environment.

The flashing is adjustable within the 7/12 to 12/12 pitch range, allowing it to conform to the specific roof pitch at the installation site.
